BREAKING: Dangote Refinery Fires All Nigerian Workers After They Joined PENGASSAN
Dangote

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N15 reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) across Nigeria, offering some relief to motorists amid ongoing economic challenges.

In a statement shared on its official social media platform, the refinery revealed that petrol will now be sold at prices ranging from N875 to N905 per litre, depending on the region. The new rates apply to all major fuel marketers collaborating with the refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.

The refinery advised consumers to purchase fuel only from approved fuel stations and encouraged the public to report any violations through its official hotlines.

According to the company, its petrol and diesel products are refined to improve engine efficiency while complying with environmental standards.

The price cut follows the recent reinstatement of a customer refund initiative and comes amid increased competition from independent oil marketers, who recently imported over 496 million litres of petrol into the country.

Under the revised pricing:

  • Lagos residents will pay N875 per litre (down from N890)
  • South-West: N885 per litre
  • North-West and Central: N895 per litre
  • South-East, South-South, and North-East: N905 per litre

Dangote Refinery attributed the reduction to its naira-for-crude arrangement, which has significantly lowered production costs and made it possible to adjust pump prices downward.

In a statement signed by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining price stability despite fluctuations in global oil markets. He emphasized that the move reflects Dangote’s dedication to supporting the Nigerian economy and easing the financial burden on citizens.
