Tragedy struck in Lagos on Thursday evening when Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, was allegedly stabbed to death by her former boyfriend, Lintex Ogale, nearly two years after their breakup.
Family sources said Deborah, a recent NYSC graduate and interior decorator, ended the relationship in August 2023 over alleged maltreatment and domestic violence but was continually harassed with threats from Ogale. “If I can’t have you, nobody will,” he was quoted as saying.

On the day of the incident, the suspect reportedly disguised himself as a dispatch rider to gain access to her estate. When Deborah declined to accept a fake delivery, he allegedly scaled the fence, cut her gas pipe in a failed attempt to trigger an explosion, and then forced his way in to stab her multiple times.

Neighbors rushed in after hearing her screams and found the suspect lying beside her, pretending to be dead. He was arrested by police at the scene.

The killing has sparked outrage online, with friends and members of the Igede community demanding justice. It also adds to a growing list of relationship-related homicides in Nigeria, including the July murder of a young woman in Ayobo allegedly carried out by her boyfriend.
