The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Fatimah Ibrahim, a 40-year-old resident of Tashan Jama’are, for abusing a 12-year-old boy.

This has been made public in a press release issued on Tuesday by Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ahmed Wakil.

He said, “On March 1, 2025, at about 14:00 hours, a resident of Katagum Local Government Area reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters Azare a disturbing incident.”

The report implicated Fatimah Ibrahim, a 40-year-old resident of Tashan Jama’are, in a horrific offense against a 12-year-old boy, Abubakar Yakubu (not his real name), who had been employed to work for her company.

Wakil explained that the victim, an Arabic pupil, was said to have been hosted at the defendant’s residence, where he was subjected to indecency for two months.

He told in an interview how the victim detailed how the defendant, whom he regarded as a maternal figure, engaged him in sexual activities, especially when her other guests were not around.

He told about being given a drink with lemon juice in it, which he believes could have been spiked before these things happened.

“The victim said that he had been put through this type of treatment a number of times.”

The statement further said that in the process of interrogation, the defendant had admitted what she had done.

The PPRO further stated that upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will be profiled and arraigned in court for the offense as defined.
