Controversial yet talented Nigerian artiste Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to lament over an alleged frozen account containing a staggering amount of ₦400 billion in First Bank.

In the tearful video now making the rounds online, the “Zazu” singer insisted that the funds were earned from his music career, stating that the money was paid to him by Apple Music.

“My money is in First Bank, more than 400 billion Naira and they have frozen my account! I don’t do yahoo yahoo. I do music for a living,” he said.

“I don’t want to go to the bank now and they call the EFCC for me like GT Bank did to VDM. Please, Nigerians, help me beg First Bank to release my 400 billion.”

In another video, Portable said that First Bank is tracking him, that he is being chased.

The dramatic disclosure has set social media agog, with many Nigerians expressing shock at the alleged amount and questioning its authenticity.

Some users jokingly remarked that if the accusation is true, Portable is potentially the wealthiest artiste in Africa. First Bank has not commented on the accusation at the time of filing this report.
