In a heartbreaking turn of events, a Nigerian man, Chibuike Nwandu, has called off his upcoming traditional wedding after allegedly discovering that his fiancée was still involved in a secret sexual relationship with her reverend father.
The wedding, which was set to take place on the 2nd of August 2025 in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, was already in advanced stages of preparation, with printed invitation cards ready for distribution.
Taking to Facebook, Chibuike announced the cancellation, stating that he uncovered shocking details that his bride-to-be, Chidinma Okoli, had continued a sexual relationship with the clergyman even after their introduction ceremony.

According to him, he has a recorded confession from her admitting to the affair.
Photos shared in the now-viral post showed the wedding invitations marked “Cancelled,” alongside a message from Chibuike expressing his deep disappointment. He also hinted that the affair was not only ongoing but occurred with full knowledge of their engagement.
The revelation has since sparked intense reactions online, with thousands of comments expressing shock, anger, and sympathy. While some called for calm and asked the man to resolve the issue privately, others condemned the man for bringing it to public, especially as it involves a clergyman.
