A video made by a female content creator has been trending on the social media space, and has sparked reactions from Netizens.
In the video, the lady lambasted Nigerian girls of their unwillingness to be of value to themselves and to their relationships, rather they choose to derive their worth from their boyfriend’s accomplishments.
She stated that Nigerian ladies think they are doing their boyfriends a favour for being patient while waiting for their boyfriends to make it. So they must be taken care of after he must have made it.
She also stated that the average Nigerian girl does not care about learning a valuable skill, or improving herself, that all she cares for is what her struggling boyfriend can offer her, that is, she wants to show off her boyfriend’s wealth, not hers.
According to her, the average Nigerian girl is looking for a rich boyfriend, because she just wants to chill and be taken care of, and if she doesn’t get one, she feels bad for herself, and goes about looking for guys, who end up dumping them after sleeping with them.

“Even in their imaginations,they always imagine they have a wealthy boyfriend..them dey forbid rich women for una family?
Everyday “find yourself a man that will do this for you,find a man that will do that for you” will you die if you’re the doer? Ehn fine girl?”
Victoria Udoette reacted saying;
“And all the ladies are on strike in the comment section. As a lady, Once you are hardworking and have your own money. You can’t be looking for a guy that will take care of you always but a companion and a friend to support each other to grow for a better future. Not a one that will be supporting you while you do nothing.
Men should be intentional, no broke girl will date you, if you are broke like her. Do what you can in your relationship. If a girl want you to take a responsibility that is bigger than you, which their parents couldn’t take for her. Leave her, Let her go and find work first to take her responsibility by herself.
The country hard reach everywhere.”
Wisdom Augustine Peter wrote;
“Who will teach them, when even their parents today are the ones pushing them to go look for rich boys to befriend.
I have seen a mother using her daughter’s friend as a case study while taunting her daughter for being useless and always going about with broke boys.
Most parents are the ones encouraging this nonsense behavior. Parents who failed themselves. All they now do is put pressure on their daughter to bring a rich guy who would ease off their loads.
It is a merry-go-round pathetic situation!”
