A report from Sahara Reporters has it that the Senate President of the 10th Senate, Senator God’swill Akpabio may likely step down in ur coming weeks in order to “fulfill all righteousness”, and allow the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate his sexual harassment allegations by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Sources have told Sahara Reporters that there is a plot to suspend Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan indefinitely until 2027 when her tenure elapses, after Akpabio is found innocent of her allegations. They say the plan is to make Akpabio appear “officially innocent” so that Mrs. Akpoti-Uduaghan can be punished.
The Senate will summon senator Akpabio and Natasha Akpoti after he steps down as the Senate President for probing.

“The plan currently being orchestrated is to suspend Senator Natasha till the end of the tenure. The report of the panel is currently being prepared and the panel is just to formalise the process.
“Akpabio will announce that he is stepping down for investigation to face the panel and after few hours, the panel will come up with a report that he is innocent and Senator Natasha will be suspended indefinitely till 2027 when her tenure ends. They want to send her away,” one of the sources told Sahara Reporters.
Recall that Igbo TV has reported that Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan submitted a petition to the Senate for her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President to be probed.
Her first petition was rejected for reasons of not following the proper guidelines. However, after she corrected herself and submitted a second petition which was finally received by the Presiding Officer and transferred to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions for review, she was served a six-month suspension for gross misconduct and disobeying the standing rules of the Senate.
She also went to the United Nations Inter-Parliamentary meeting in New York to report her suspension and sexual harassment allegations, saying her suspension was because she filed a petition of sexual harassment against the president of the Senate.
