
The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested two students of the Federal University Otuoke (FUO) and another suspect over the abduction and assault of a female student, Nancy Wilfred.
The incident, captured in a viral video, showed Nancy being beaten, stripped, and humiliated by her colleagues.
One of the suspects, 20-year-old Blessing Daniel, confessed to participating in the attack, claiming it was fueled by anger and alcohol.

Another suspect, identified as Kadi, was re-arrested after public outrage over her initial release, while a fourth suspect, Favour, is still on the run.

The assault, reportedly triggered by personal disputes, sparked nationwide condemnation and calls for justice from rights groups and civil society organizations.
Police said the suspects remain in custody and will be charged in court.
Bayelsa First Lady, Dr. Gloria Diri, has taken custody of the victim, pledging medical support and a scholarship to enable her to continue her education.
