General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. O. Adeboye sought N30 billion for the church headquarters’ project.
At the RCCG Redemption Camp, during Sunday service in the ongoing retreat, Pastor Adeboye announced that the church requires some billions to fix some infrastructural decays and expand.
He called his congregation, referring to them as his children, to step forward if they can and give money for the church project.

In his words, he said, “I need 10 of my children to give me 1 billion Naira each, 100 of my children to give me 100 million Naira each, and I need a thousand who can give me 10 million Naira each, and others who can give 1 million, 2 or 3, and even N1000.”
The man of God said it’s been a long time since he made such a request and that the project cannot be left undone anymore. He prayed for those who are not yet billionaires to receive their blessings as they give for the church project.
The video has ignited lots of mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many seeing it as subtle swindling.
