Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu has shared a chilling CCTV video showing the moment a man narrowly escaped being kidnapped right in his compound in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
In the footage, the resident had just driven into his premises around 7:40 p.m. and was about to park when a group of armed men stormed in. Without wasting a second, the man abandoned his still-moving car and dashed into the house.
The attackers, wielding machetes, ran after him and tried to break into the building but were unable to gain entry.

According to Harrison, this wasn’t the first time the man had faced such horror. He revealed that a similar kidnap attempt happened to the same individual back in January.
The incident is one of many that have plagued the Ogwashi-Uku community in recent months. Harrison has been vocal about the growing insecurity in the area, frequently raising alarm over the rise in kidnappings and violent crimes.
Just last week, he shared a tragic story about a man who died in a motorcycle accident less than 24 hours after surviving a kidnap attempt in the same community.
“This is the reality people in Ogwashi-Uku are living with,” Harrison wrote, urging authorities to step up and address the worsening security situation.
