The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has extended the deadline for the 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise by one week.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, the online application portal will now remain open until Monday, August 11, 2025. It was initially scheduled to close on Monday, August 4.
The extension, the Board said, is aimed at giving more Nigerians the chance to apply and complete their registration for enlistment into any of the paramilitary agencies under its supervision.

“This extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the Paramilitary Services as well as the Board,” the statement read.
Applicants are reminded that the only official recruitment portal is (https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng), and the process is entirely free. The Board also warned against visiting or submitting applications through third-party websites.
In a related notice released earlier on August 1, applicants who submitted their applications before the Board’s system upgrade were directed to visit (https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng) to verify and update their information. Upon successful verification, they will receive a confirmation slip containing their original application ID.
However, the Board clarified that this update portal is strictly for verification purposes and does not accept fresh applications. Those who reapplied after the upgrade will have only their most recent submission considered.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete their applications before the new deadline and rely solely on official channels for any further updates.
