An apprentice who had served his boss for seven years has been caught after stealing ₦1.2 million to impress his girlfriend with luxury phones.
According to reports, the young man took the money without his boss’s knowledge and used it to buy four expensive smartphones for his girlfriend.
The incident, which has sparked reactions online, was captured in a video now circulating on social media.

In the video shared on Tiktok by @queens_of_tiktok, the boss can be seen confronting the apprentice, who fell to his knees, pleading for forgiveness. The girlfriend, seemingly overwhelmed by the situation, returned the phones in an attempt to de-escalate the tension.
Witnesses said the apprentice had been considered trustworthy throughout his years of service, which made the betrayal even more shocking.
The incident has sparked conversations online, with many believing it’s a setup so that the boss will find an excuse to send him off without payment for his service over seven years.
