Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face/2Baba, has publicly apologized to his wife, Hon. Natasha, and his children following the backlash from his recent controversial comments on male fidelity.
In a recent episode of the 234 Mzansi Podcast, hosted by Nedu, 2Baba claimed that it is “nearly impossible” for a man to remain sexually committed to one woman, even if he truly loves her. The statement sparked outrage across social media and triggered fierce debates on gender, love, and relationships.
Responding to the backlash, the music legend took to Instagram on Wednesday to offer a heartfelt apology, admitting that he spoke carelessly and hurt people who respect and admire him.

In the two minute-long video, 2Baba said, “I know I fxxked up with what I said. I know I am going to pay dearly for it,” he wrote. “I have hurt so many people—my fans, people that hold me in high esteem, and millions of people who look up to me. This is not me.”
Directing his apology to his wife, he said, “I’m sorry to my wife, the love of my life, Natasha. She is amazing, wonderful, and smart. I’m also sorry to my kids—they don’t deserve the things I put them through.”
2Baba also acknowledged how far he has come and the weight his words carry: “They call me a legend, but this talk of mine was quite unlegendary. My music speaks for me. This isn’t who I am.”
He concluded by expressing deep regret and vowing to do better: “I know I’ll pay the price. But this was not me. I own it.”
The video has continued to spark debates online, with many holding that Natasha forced him to make the video.
