Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to make Iran “pay a heavy price” after missiles reportedly hit Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and targeted civilians in central Israel early Thursday morning.

In a post on X, Netanyahu blamed the attack on Iran’s “terror proxies,” saying:

“This morning, Iran’s terror proxies launched missiles toward Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and at the civilian population in central Israel. We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”

So far, Israeli authorities have not confirmed the number of casualties or the scale of damage caused by the attack. However, it shows that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran is escalating.

Earlier in the week, Israel said at least 24 people had been killed by Iranian missile strikes. On Tuesday night, only 10 missiles were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome system, indicating what some officials see as a possible drop in Iran’s firepower.

The conflict intensified after Israel carried out what it called “preemptive strikes” on Iranian territory. Since then, both nations have exchanged fire, resulting in dozens of deaths and raising fears of wider instability in the region.

Tensions remain high, and global leaders have continued to call for restraint and diplomatic solutions, but with both sides digging in, a peaceful resolution appears distant for now.
