Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman, a prominent Kaduna-based Christian leader and Assistant General Overseer of King Worship Chapel and Ministry International, tragically died in a car accident on Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was returning to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State, when the accident occurred.
Known for his passionate advocacy for persecuted Christians in northern Nigeria, Rev. Azzaman was a vocal critic of religious violence and government inaction. He frequently highlighted the plight of Christian communities in regions like Kaduna and Benue, accusing authorities of neglect and complicity in ongoing attacks.

Rev. Azzaman’s ministry extended beyond the pulpit; he was an influential figure on social media, particularly Facebook, where he engaged in interfaith dialogues and theological debates. His bold stance on religious issues earned him both admiration and controversy.
In November 2024, he celebrated his 52nd birthday and was elevated to Assistant General Overseer of his ministry, marking a significant milestone in his spiritual journey.
His untimely death has elicited an outpouring of grief from the Christian community and beyond. Tributes have poured in, describing him as a fearless defender of the faith and a mentor to many. One mourner noted, “He wasn’t just a debater; he was a teacher and a man of deep conviction.”
Rev. Azzaman is survived by his wife and children. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
