A Nigerian-British lady who had migrated to America to study nursing has been stabbed to death just days from her graduation. Tamilore Odunsi, 23, was discovered dead in her student apartment in Houston, Texas, when a family friend reported her missing because she could not reach her.
Responding officers saw spots of blood on the rear patio and forced entry into the house, where they found Tamilore fatally wounded in the kitchen.
A male roommate was found in a bedroom with stab wounds and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Although Tamilore and the man lived in the same two-bedroom apartment, accounts state they were ‘complete strangers,’ with the man having only recently moved in.

The would-be nursing graduate was known to her social media friends as Tamidollars on TikTok, where she had 30,000 followers. Her final TikTok post, on April 21—three days before she passed away—was of her smiling in her room with the caption ‘I’m readdyyyyy’ and a laid-back emoji.
She wrote on the video, ’23 years old. BSN grad in 2 weeks. Summer is 14 days away. Starting to look human again’.

Tamilore, who was originally from London, had relocated to Houston in 2022. A GoFundMe page has since been set up by her family to help cover the cost of repatriation of her remains and funeral. The fundraiser—which already totals over £28,000 of its goal of £40,000—features an emotional note from her sister, Georgina Odunsi.
She wrote, ‘With heavy hearts, we announce the heartbreaking loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and friend, Tamilore Odunsi—to her TikTok family who called her Tami Dollars or TD.
“Tami was a beautiful soul, full of light, determination, and empathy. She was only 23 years old.”
“A devout Christian, she was a God-fearing young woman who derived strength and happiness from her faith.”
“She was a capable member of her church community, in which she played an active role and was ever ready to serve others with compassion and dignity.’
