A Nigerian man has taken to social media to protest the arrest of popular influencer VeryDarkMan at a Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) branch in Abuja by withdrawing all his money from GTBank, labeling the bank’s action as a serious mistake.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man demanded the immediate release of VeryDarkMan and requested GTBank to vacate Nigeria if the influencer is not freed.
VeryDarkMan was reportedly arrested at a GTBank branch in Abuja after accompanying his mother to protest against unauthorized debits on her account, despite not having any loans. As of the time of filing this report, neither GTBank nor the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially responded to the incident.
