Controversial activist and social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) has berated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the recent detention of businessman and socialite Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-money.
EFCC officials reportedly invaded E-money’s residence with over 50 agents, allegedly over a viral video in which he stood on Naira notes while spraying pound sterling notes on singer Flavour.
In an incendiary video, VDM raised an eyebrow at the EFCC motive, accusing the agency of starting to exhibit ethnic bias.

He argued E-money’s activities were not worth such a raid and believed the agency might be selectively targeting Igbos. “Is this justice or selective persecution?” he asked.
VDM also warned other celebrities to be careful, stating that the EFCC may be monitoring them for the same reasons. He used another video of another public figure apparently violating the same law but being ignored, allegedly because of their tribe.
He concluded by demanding E-money’s release and requesting that the EFCC treat all Nigerians equally without regard to tribe or status.
