I’ll be the Last Man Standing in APC — Kebbi Governor Clarifies

Kebbi Governor Dr. Nasir Idris has dismissed rumors that he and four other governors are quitting the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor, in a press statement on Sunday, described the reports as “ridiculously malicious” and the handiwork of “uninteresting political comedians.”

In reaction to the social media speculations of joining a coalition led by ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Idris reaffirmed his allegiance to the APC, affirming that he is “made in APC, by APC, and for APC.”

“Let the world be informed, by my own disclaimer, that I am not a political prostitute. I will be the last man to abandon my solid and fecund party to join any coalition by whatever leaders,” Idris stated.

Signed on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, the declaration upheld Kebbi State as an APC stronghold and dismissed any suggestion of betrayal as “a dance of mad fellows in the marketplace.”

Idris also restated his commitment to the good people of Kebbi State and the aspirations of President Bola Tinubu, noting that his focus remains good governance and consolidation of the gains of the APC.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of Kebbi people and the development of the state under the APC banner.
