Popular Nigerian musician 2Face Idibia has been given political leadership responsibility by the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia.
Governor Hyacinth Alia appointed 2Face as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
The appointment was done on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Benue State Government House when 2Face paid the governor a visit.
The appointment comes as an appreciation for 2Face’s support for Hyacinth Alia’s administration and for publicly endorsing the governor for a second term at the 2027 elections.

“First and foremost, I want to thank you for supporting my administration and for publicly endorsing me for 2027,” the governor said.
“I believe it is entirely appropriate to entrust you with more responsibilities, given your status as a prominent figure in entertainment. When people hear ‘2Face,’ they start dancing, even without you singing.
“We are delighted to have you here. On behalf of the state government and our wonderful people, I would like to give you additional responsibilities alongside the ones you have already taken on. You have the capacity to help us chart a path forward to improve the lives of others and to share your wisdom and insights.
“I am pleased to announce that you will serve as the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Entertainment and Community Outreach,” Mr. Alia stated.
