A woman identified as Jessica Hoff, 47, has been arrested by the police after her 54 pet dogs mauled her 76-year-old mother, LaVonne Hoff, who is suffering from dementia, to death, reports Dailymail.
The incident occurred in Southern Colorado, United States of America, on February 3, 2025, when the Pueblo County cops responded to a call by 5 PM and checked to find the woman lifeless in her house, while the loose 54 dogs and some birds roamed the house.
After a successful autopsy, it was revealed that LaVonne Hoff was attacked by a dog.

Jessica Hoff had left her mom, who had a dementia condition and needed 24-hour attention, and her malnourished pet dogs loose in the house in an unhealthy and dirty condition.
Upon her arrest, she was charged with criminal negligence resulting in death and 54 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, following the gruesome death of her mother, LaVonne Hoff.
She is currently remanded in Pueblo County Jail on a $50,000 bond and is set to appear in court for her trial on March 27, 2025.
