
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has stated that from this month, March 2025, there will be an effective increase of the corps members allowance to the sum of N77,000.
The statement was officially declared by the new Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, in an interactive session held with corps members and confirmed that this payment will commence as stated.

Brig. Gen. Nafiu, during the event, which was held at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja, addressed the reason for the delay in the implementation of the increase in the allowance.

The General also emphasized the NYSC’s and the Federal Government’s commitment to the entire welfare and well-being of its corps members, and also implored corps members to be of good conduct and commitment while they serve the country.
On behalf of her colleagues at the Garki Zone, Corps member Zaka Deborah Alheri, thanked the Director General for his efforts in ensuring that the increase would eventually emerge.
