The Guardian shared a video on Thursday morning where men in military uniforms were assaulting staff of Ikeja Electric Office.
According to the reports, Ikeja Electric Office had disconnected electricity supply for the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos State, due to an unpaid debt that rose into millions of Naira.
The report also says an agreement was reached by the Ikeja Electric administration and the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base that they pay N60 million monthly for 10-12 hours of electricity supply.

However, sources say the NAF had failed to repay their debts, which led the Ikeja Electric Company to withdraw supply for the base for weeks, thereby compromising the base’s safety and security, particularly the operational warehouse, housing high-caliber armaments, which are reportedly at risk due to rising temperatures caused by the failure of the cooling systems.
The armed military men thereby reportedly stormed the Ikeja Electric office at Ago Palace Way, Okota, Isolo, Lagos State, and assaulted the staff there.
This is reported to have happened around 7:40 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
