The wife reached out immediately to the FCT police command, which promptly sent a patrol team and alerted checkpoints at key entry and exit points in Abuja.
CSP Ojiebe was later rescued and reunited with his family, while the assailants escaped into a bush in Garaku, Nasarawa State.
A search has been launched to apprehend the suspects, as Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu, psc, urged residents of the FCT to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities immediately by calling the police emergency line at 08032003913.
