Rose Idibia, mother of renowned singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has publicly appealed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, urging her to stay away from her son.
In a viral video on Thursday, Mrs. Idibia expressed deep concern over 2Baba’s emotional state, claiming that he has not been himself due to his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia.
Calling on Nigerian mothers for support, she pleaded with Osawaru to remove the beads she had placed on 2Baba’s hand and neck, suggesting they held symbolic significance.

Speculation about 2Baba’s relationship with Osawaru intensified after a video surfaced showing the singer proposing to the lawmaker.
In the clip, the two were seen dancing at an event before 2Baba presented her with a ring—a moment that stirred mixed reactions, especially as it came just days after he publicly confirmed their relationship.

Rumors had been circulating for weeks following sightings of the singer at the Edo State Assembly and later with Osawaru at a Lagos nightclub.
Addressing the controversy, 2Baba took to Instagram on Tuesday to refute claims that Osawaru played a role in his marital issues with Annie.
He dismissed the notion that she was a homewrecker and described her as a brilliant and amazing woman. Declaring his love for her, he stated his intention to marry her.
Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, represents the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
