A dramatic confrontation unfolded at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa, after a student bit and fought a lecturer after he interrupted her dance video recording.
According to the lecturer, the incident occurred near Hall 19, where the lecturer had just left a class. He encountered a female student recording a video in the passageway, using a phone placed on a window hood while striking poses.
The lecturer, whose name remains undisclosed, asked the student to step aside as he passed. However, after moving a few steps away, he overheard the student questioning his authority, saying, “Who does this man think he is?”
Feeling disrespected, the lecturer reportedly returned to confirm whether she was his student and demanded that she delete any video capturing his movement.

The situation escalated when he attempted to take the phone from her, prompting the student to bite him on both arms in self-defense. In response, he held onto her left hand to prevent her from escaping.
Eyewitnesses claim that at this point, the confrontation turned aggressive, with the student allegedly tearing the lecturer’s clothes, slapping, and scratching his face.
The lecturer maintained that he remained calm despite the attack. The matter was eventually taken to the university security office, where the student reportedly accused the lecturer of attempting to strip her naked.
it is also believed that the student’s mother is a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering, which may have influenced her confidence in standing her ground.
The incident has sparked reactions among netizens with everyone condemning the student’s action, and blaming it on poor home training.
