Renowned Nigerian guitarist Fiokee has been left devastated following the tragic death of his sister, allegedly at the hands of someone who claimed to love her.
In an emotional Instagram post, Fiokee expressed his grief and regret, revealing that he had no knowledge of the abuse she had been enduring in silence.
“My heart is shattered. I can’t believe I’m writing this, but my sister is gone. She was taken from us by someone who claimed to love her. I had no idea she was suffering in silence. She never spoke about the abuse, and now it’s too late,” he wrote.
Fiokee used the opportunity to urge victims of abusive relationships to speak up before it is too late. He acknowledged the difficulty of doing so due to fear but stressed the importance of seeking help.

“If you are in an abusive relationship, please, I beg you—speak up. I know it’s not easy. I know fear can make you stay quiet. But silence can be deadly. There are people who care, people who will help you. Please don’t wait until it’s too late,” he pleaded.
The grieving musician also emphasized that while justice will take its course, no form of punishment can bring his sister back. However, he hopes that sharing her story will save others from similar fates.
“Justice will take its course, but no amount of punishment will bring my sister back. If this message can save even one life, then her death will not be in vain,” he stated.
The tragic incident has sparked conversations on social media, with many expressing their condolences and calling for stronger measures against domestic violence.
Fiokee ended his heartfelt tribute with a final farewell to his sister: “Rest in peace, my love. I will miss you forever.”
