Corps members of the National Youth Service (NYSC) Corp during their Community Development Service (CDS) visited the market at Irua Inyang, Ika Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, to sensitize market women on germs and the importance if hygiene.
Leading the team was the CDS President Corper David O. Ogunlade.
The corps members explained the meaning of germs, how they develop and spread, the dangers, and how they can be prevented.

One of the preventive measures they mentioned was observing strict personal hygiene, by always washing their hands with soup and clean water, make use of sanitizers, maintain a clean environment, and use clean objects; while they also demonstrated to the women how to brush their teeth to keep their mouths clean.
At the end, they distributed bags, brooms and toothbrushes to the women in the market, who expressed their gratitude to them, and showered them with prayers.
