Report reaching IgboTv has it that a police officer, identified as Dogara Akolo-Moses, has reportedly taken his own life while on duty in Eggon Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
The incident occurred at the Mada Police Division, where he was stationed.
According to sources, Akolo-Moses entered a private room during his shift and fatally shot himself with his service weapon.

His colleagues, alarmed by the gunshot, rushed to the scene and found him in a pool of blood. The motive behind his actions remains unknown.
The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to his death.
The state’s Commissioner of Police has also ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
