Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced that it will embark on a day strike warning on Tuesday.
The State NLC chairman, Dauda Shaibu made this known to the journalists during a brief meeting with them after an Executive Council meeting at the state NLC headquarter in Bauchi on Monday.
According to the Chairman, the strike is aimed at protesting the Nigeria Telecommunications commission’s decision to increase tariff by 50% for calls and data.

He explained that the purpose of the strike was to show their grievances over the increment in tariff by Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC). He said, “we urge all organized Labour union in the state to mobilize their members to participate in the strike.
Moreover, he advised the federal government to take action to address the greviances of workers and general public and failure to do so will lead to further Industrial action
