A heartbreaking incident in Owerri, Imo State, has sparked outrage after a housemaid reportedly died following a brutal beating from her employer.
According to a video shared by journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi War on Facebook, the unnamed woman allegedly beat her underage housemaid to death for sitting with her children to watch television.
In the video, the woman, who is also a nursing mother, was surrounded by angry neighbors demanding justice for the young girl. Many labeled her a “wicked and vile woman” as they confronted her about the tragic event.
Reports suggest that the punishment for watching TV escalated into severe physical abuse, leading to the girl’s death.
