While performing at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025, Nigerian Grammy-Award singer, Burna Boy knocked a fan down with his boots, who climbed his stage.
Burna boy was having a great time on stage when a certain male fan climbed the stage towards Burna Boy’s position, and in a swift reaction, the music star kicked the fan, and ended his performance, leaving the stage immediately.
The action angered Nigerians who did not hesitate on criticizing his attitude.
Burna Boy in a response to the backlashes took to his Instagram story not to apologize, but state reasons why he left the stage, although admitted he a great time in Lagos, proclaiming love to his fans and wishing them a happy new year.

He said, it was a free show, that his appearance was supposed to be 10 minutes, but he performed almost an hour, restating his rule on stage which is, no one should startle him why je is performing, That he has “PTSD”.

Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing. I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night.
