A Nigerian lady sparked reactions on the internet after a dramatic video of her went viral, where she was demanding a refund of her money from her pastor.
According to the story, she was supposed to send N10,000 as tithe to her pastor, but mistakenly added one zero to make it N100,000 and sent it without confirming.
After she sent the money and realized she had sent N100,000 and not N10,000, she immediately called the clergyman, telling him about the mistake, and asked him to refund.
The man of God, however, refused to comply, saying the money has been received by God and that it is for God.

After her request on phone yielded no fruit, she stormed into the pastor’s office and dragged him for her money which she claimed was her business money.
Part of her statement reads; ‘“I was supposed to send 10,000 naira but I mistakenly added another zero and sent. Immediately I sent it I call him…he’s now telling that the money is for God, my business money o..pastor give me my money.”
Some netizens reacting to the video accused the pastor of extortion, calling the pastor and their lots scammers.
One @PrettyMfon said: “What a Shame! Mr. Pastor shouldn’t have let a 3rd ear hear it. He should have quietly returned her money. It will make him earn her respect. Pastor wey love money pass his congregation. Run from that Church.”
@eddiebrendan commented saying: “Pastor says the mistake is divine. Scammers in white robes”
@ucee3d said; “I don’t understand how some ppl mistakenly sent amount of money more than what they intend to send. Whose fault was it? Who takes back change from offering box? What if the pastor say that the money you claimed to have sent didn’t reach the pastor’s account?”
