A single mother has sparked concerns on the internet as she pleads with her ex-husband to come back to his kids.
In a video of about 5 minutes, the woman whose name is Chinemerem Ike revealed it’s almost 12 years now since her ex-husband left her and their three children to themselves after they separated.
That she has been the one taking care of the children, who have not set eyes on their father in almost 12 years, which would make the complete circle in a few months.
The father has not sent any child support, or even called on phone to hear from the children.
“…I know a lot of people will say this is social media, why don’t you send it straight to him. I have tried.
“You know, when marriage crashes, breaks down, and there are children involved, I don’t think any of the parties, which are the parents, should abandon or turn their backs on the children.
“How many years now? In a few months, it’s gonna be 12. Yes, you turned your back completely. No child support, no phone call, no contact, nothing. Nothing. Hmmn,” she said.

She said she had reached out severally and begged the ex-husband to come see his children who are now aged 17 and 15 (twins), but he refused, that is why she is doing so publicly on social media.
“I have begged you, I have tried to, you know, talk sense to you, but you don’t want to listen. So, I am coming right here on social media. Maybe, now you’re gonna listen…”
The woman promised that all they want is the ex-husband and father’s presence, that they don’t want his money or gifts, remarking how cute and handsome the kids have grown to become.
“Can I use this opportunity to tell you dear ex-husband, the kids have grown. They are. They are all cute and handsome. The kids we both made…
“Please, wake up, your children need you. They don’t need me. I haven’t travelled out. I haven’t had a single holiday since that 12 years…I have always been all about them…”
“Don’t worry about bringing money. We don’t need your money, we don’t need your gifts. They need you now you’re still alive. Connect with them. I know I am not perfect but I know I have never stopped you from connecting with your children.
She explained how she nearly gave up on the children, however, she remained, and took care of them, now they are teenagers, but they need to see their father alive, that is what is important.
“I know you thought I would have run away. I wanted to many times because it got really too much. It got to a time I actually did. I called your brother, I wanted to run as fast as I could. I banged my head on the wall because I couldn’t cope.
“But I thank God I didn’t give up. But today, Sunday the 8th of December, 2024. Few more days, it is gonna be another year…”
In an effort to get the husband to listen after several direct unsuccessful pleas, she has taken to the internet, hopefully the husband would respond this time.
Questions have been flown about concerning the video, many seeking to know what caused the husband to leave in such a way, and not wanting to see his own children.
While some believe something must have occurred for which the woman is guilty, others have argued that such is not enough reason for the man to dessert his children for 12 good years.
Some have also argued that the woman is missing her ex-husband which she must have caused to flee, and is trying to use the kids as her cover.
