A 17 year-old boy identified as Emeka Odogwu has been reportedly shot to death by a police officer in Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the report, the trigger-happy police alongside his colleagues had found knockouts with Emeka, and tried to remand him.
The 17-year-old in trying to avoid arrest attempted fleeing, but met his waterloo as the police officer fired at him, hitting his head.
The incidence has trailed the internet, with Nigerians condemning the police’s action, and demanding justice for the young boy.

Human rights group, Initiative For Social Rights Concerns And Advancement have also expressed disapproval for the incident, commiserating with the victim’s family and urging the Delta State police command to investigate the matter and bring the murderer police to justice.
The Delta State police command Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe while confirming the incident assured Nigerians that the police will face the full consequences of his action.
Reports also confirms that the police is currently in detention.
