“What will they say that has never been said before?”- Yul Edochie tells pregnant fan who took photos with him to go ahead and post it against critics admonitions.
During a movie shoot at the hospital, a pregnant woman and fan of Nollywood’s controversial actor Yul Edochie, asked to take photos with him.
After taking the photos, onlookers advised the pregnant woman not to post it on social media, to avoid controversy.
The popular actor and son of Pete Edochie however, told the pregnant woman to ignore whatever the critics said, and post the photos if she wants to.
Yul said this in a post on his Instagram page. He wrote:
“Yesterday, I was filming in a hospital, and a pregnant woman wanted to take a picture with me. The people there told her not to post the picture on social media that people would say this and that.
“I said to her, ‘Post it, post it on social media and any other media you like’, let them say. What will they say that has never been said before? Post it. In this life, if you’re scared of what people will say then you’re not ready to live life”.
Netizens have reacted to the post, calling Yul a womanizer. Some even went ahead to say the child the pregnant woman is crying might be Yul’s own.
Yul Edochie who last year caused an uproar on the internet when he announced his marriage to Judy Justin as his second wife has been on a lot of people’s black book.
He was accused of disrespecting his first wife May Edochie who is now separated from him, for not seeking her approval before marrying another woman.
Yul’s action brought lots of opinions from experts and fans alike. Many approved of his polygamous move, and were of the opinion that he has every right to marry as many wives as he could according to the original African tradition, as far as he has the resources to take care of them.
Many who used Christian ethics as their standard of judgment, disapproved of it, preferring the one man for one woman marriage.
