It happened in France, on October 16, 2020; History and Geography teacher known as Samuel Paty was beheaded by a jihadist for allegedly making caricature of Prophet Muhammed and the Islam religion.
The Muslim schoolgirl whose identity is kept unrevealed due to her age went home one day and told her parents that her 47 year-old teacher Samuel Paty had sent all the Muslim students out of the class while he displayed caricatures of Prophet Muhammed to the rest of the class from a news paper.
The girl’s father had thereafter launched a harassment campaign on social media against the said teacher, posting his pictures for fellow Muslims to see and take action.
It turned out that one Abdoullakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Islamist radical of from Chechen, saw the posts, and tracked down the history and geography teacher.
Anzorov brutally hacked off Samuel Paty’s head and left his body ensanquined and motionless.
Anzorov had initially sought asylum from the France police, but was soon killed by the France police immediately after the murder near the school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine west of Paris.
The schoolgirl during a court hearing on Tuesday confessed she lied about her teacher sending off Muslim students from the class and blaspheming against Muhammed.
She who was 13 years of age at the time, was actually suspended from school for two days for bad behavior, but she had to make up the lie to her parents so they wouldn’t punish her at home.
According to her, she had not even been to class, where Paty was actually showing his pupils the Charlie Hebdo caricatures, as part of an ethics class where the pupils discussed the fallout of the 2015 terror attack on newspaper offices which resulted to the murder of 12 people by extremists.
The court has also accused the schoolgirl’s father, Brahim Chnina of launching the online harassment campaign against Paty. For which trial of the murder at the Special Assize Court in France will last until 20 December.
The schoolgirl during a special court hearing, had apologized to the family of Samuel Paty for the lie she told which resulted to his murder and has brought them to court. She said; “I apologize for my lie that brought us all back here.”
