Tension has gripped parts of Ibadan following the shocking abduction of Mrs. Ibukun Otesile, the 2025 President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ibadan Elite, in a daring late-night operation.The Oyo State Police Command confirmed that Mrs. Otesile was forcefully taken away by armed men right in front of her residence, sending fear across the Akobo axis of the city.According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday night at the General Gas area of Akobo, as the victim was either arriving at or leaving her home.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the kidnappers arrived in a vehicle, moved swiftly, and overpowered the surroundings before whisking her away, leaving residents in shock.Mrs. Otesile is not only a respected community leader but also a mother of two, making the incident even more heartbreaking for family, friends, and associates.She is also the daughter of Reverend Olalekan Babatunde, the founder and General Overseer of Jesus Is King Ministries in Ibadan, further raising public concern over her safety.
