A short video recorded by residents shows motorists who had fled during the shooting slowly coming back to inspect the empty bus left on the road. The vehicle doors were wide open, giving a clear sign of how fast the incident happened.
Another clip from a separate attack in the state also surfaced. In that one, a Lexus SUV was badly damaged, its windscreens shattered and riddled with bullet holes. People gathered around the wreck, murmuring in disbelief.
Residents say such attacks have become more frequent in recent weeks, causing growing fear among travellers using the route. Insecurity has now become very rampant in the whole of Nigeria.
