A 13-year-old girl, Hasiya A. Bawa, is receiving medical care after she was gang-raped by three bandits in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident was confirmed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, by journalist Bakatsine, who raised alarm over the worsening insecurity in the region.

According to him, Hasiya, who hails from Kudodo village in Golkogo Ward, was returning from the market with her elder brother, Rabiu A. Bawa, when the bandits ambushed them. During the encounter, the attackers overpowered them and subjected the young girl to severe trauma.
Bakatsine expressed deep concern about the growing bandit activities in the Lakpma axis, questioning how long communities would continue to remain exposed to such dangers.
The attack comes shortly after another violent incident in Palaita community, Erena Ward, also in Shiroro LGA, where 24 residents (including women and expectant mothers) were taken away during a raid.
