In a video that has gone viral today, some Nigerian Army Officers are seen harassing a couple on the road.
The couple were in their car, when the soldiers came to them, asked them to come out, and in fact, began hitting the man inside his car.
The man was hit several times and got injured on the face.
From the footage, you could hear the man pleading that he did not overtake them, which means, the soldiers are punishing the couple for supposedly overtaking them.
The wife while recording the incidence with a phone could not stop screaming as her husband was being brutalized and dragged out of the car.
She was almost beaten too for videoing the soldiers, as one approached her and demanded she gives him the phone amidst her cries.
A lot of people have expressed displeasure after seeing the video, calling on the authority to do something, while at the same time believing nothing will happen.
Within a short time, a letter has circulated the internet, from a law firm with the name Tom Uja and Co. to the Office of the Chief of Army Staff, demanding the dismissal of (A) Maj. Gen. G. S. Muhammed (B) Corpl. A. Abubakar and the other Army officers involved in the inhuman act; and another demand of 150 million Naira to be paid as compensation to the victims of the harassment.
Netizens have recalled several of similar incidents where nothing was done in light of bringing justice.
