The Nigerian Army has launched an intensified nationwide operation targeting terrorists, insurgents, and economic saboteurs, recording major successes within 48 hours.
In a statement on Sunday, Army authorities confirmed that troops killed seven terrorists, arrested 27 suspects, and recovered several weapons, ammunition, and stolen crude oil in coordinated missions across the country.
The operations were conducted under various ongoing campaigns—Operation HADIN KAI in the North East, Operation ENDURING PEACE in the North West and North Central, and Operation DELTA SAFE in the South-South.

In Borno State, troops of the 192 Battalion ambushed Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters along the Gwoza–Limankara road, killing three and seizing an AK-47 rifle with ammunition. Twelve other suspects linked to terror logistics were also arrested in Monguno.
In Kaduna, two insurgents responsible for village attacks were killed during a raid on their hideout in Kauru Local Government Area.
The crackdown extended to the South-South, where troops uncovered illegal refining and mining sites. Arrests were made in Akwa Ibom, Abia, and Imo States, with large quantities of stolen crude oil and mining materials seized.
The Army said the operations followed the directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, who urged troops to sustain pressure on terrorists and saboteurs.
“The Nigerian Army remains resolute in defending the nation and eliminating all threats to peace and security,” the statement concluded.
