A 44-year-old man from Takoma Park, Maryland, has been arrested for allegedly disguising himself as a woman to record unsuspecting females in gym locker rooms and bathrooms.
The suspect, identified as Tshikundi Taty, was apprehended by Montgomery County Police after weeks of investigation following a report from a woman at One Life Fitness Club in Germantown. The woman had alerted authorities after noticing an unknown person filming her while she showered on October 10, 2025.
Detectives discovered that Taty repeatedly disguised himself as a woman to gain access to female locker rooms. After secretly recording victims, he would reportedly remove his disguise and flee to avoid detection.

Police tracked Taty to a Planet Fitness gym in White Oak on October 29, where he was again found in the women’s locker room, dressed as a woman. Officers swiftly arrested him and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he now faces multiple charges of peeping tom and related offenses.

Police officials say investigations are ongoing as they work to determine the full extent of Taty’s actions.
