On Thursday, October 30, Akpabio read Natasha’s letter inviting him and fellow senators to her second-year-in-office anniversary celebration. The move surprised many Nigerians, given the tense history between both lawmakers—including a courtroom dispute and a public altercation over seating arrangements earlier in the year.

While some viewed the moment as a sign of reconciliation, Natasha’s later post suggested otherwise. Taking to Instagram, she shared a video of Akpabio reading her letter and pointedly noted that he did so in the same chamber where he had allegedly vowed she would never return.
The senator’s post quickly drew comments from supporters and critics alike. When one follower urged her not to “remove her leg” from her enemies’ necks (a local expression meaning to keep the pressure on opponents) Natasha replied in apparent agreement, reinforcing her stance against those who had doubted or opposed her.
