In the video, the kidnappers threatened to kill her if the ransom was not paid by Friday, October 24. The disturbing footage prompted reactions from friends, family, and Nigerians on social media, who called for urgent action to secure her release.
Israel DMW, who has been vocal about Aisha’s ordeal, confirmed her release on Friday, disclosing that the ransom demanded by the kidnappers was paid before she was freed.
Though details of her rescue remain sketchy, many have expressed relief and gratitude for her safe return after what was described as a harrowing experience.
