BREAKING: 22-Year-Old Hairdresser Takes Her Own Life in Enugu After Discovering the Boyfriend She Bought Car and Rented House for, Was Cheating on Her

Tragedy struck in Enugu after a 22-year-old hairstylist, Miss Odama Mary Agado, allegedly took her own life upon discovering that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

Mary, who hailed from Woleche-Ipuole in Yahe Ward, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, was said to have ingested a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper on Friday after the shocking discovery.

According to reports, the young woman had been doing well in her hairdressing business and was known for her generosity towards her boyfriend—she had recently bought him a car and rented an apartment for him in Enugu.

A family source, identified as Daniel, said Mary became devastated after walking in on her boyfriend with another woman inside the apartment she paid for.

“She became very angry and went back to her own place. There, she called her mother and told her what had happened. She also said her mother should take whatever happened in good faith, that she wouldn’t live again,” he recounted.

Daniel added that Mary’s mother, who reportedly had no airtime to return the call, didn’t suspect anything until later that evening when she received news that her daughter had taken poison.

Mary was rushed to the hospital, but doctors could not save her. She was confirmed dead and her remains were taken to her hometown in Yala, where she was buried the following day.

“Everyone is still in shock,” Daniel said. “We can’t understand why she would take her own life over a man. Some believe it was spiritual, but blaming anyone won’t bring her back.”

The family said they did not report the incident to the police, believing she acted on her own.
