A British-Nigerian woman has shared that she and her family have permanently moved back to Nigeria after living in the United Kingdom for six years.
In a heartfelt video, she explained that their decision had nothing to do with immigration challenges or financial hardship, but was simply a conscious choice to return home.

“So yes, we finally did it,” she said. “My family and I packed our bags and relocated from the UK to Nigeria. We’re British citizens and also Canadian permanent residents, so it’s not like we had to leave. We just decided it was time to go home—to Japada.”
Before their departure, the family sold most of their belongings, kept only what was meaningful, and said their final goodbyes to a country they had called home for years.
“When I say goodbye, I mean forever goodbye to the UK,” she added. “We’ve rented out our properties, and honestly, I don’t think we’ll ever move back there. But then again, never say never.”
