A national initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across Nigeria has been launched in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The announcement was made during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, organized by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to the organisers, the Bibles will be distributed through churches, schools, and community groups nationwide to promote moral rebirth, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among Nigerian youth.

Hon. Enwere explained that the gesture was not for personal celebration but to encourage values of integrity and compassion. “This one million Bible project is a seed for moral transformation—a way to restore godliness and humanity among our people,” he said.
The thanksgiving service was held simultaneously in over 40 churches nationwide, featuring prayers for the Tinubu family and Nigeria’s renewal. Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, who led the prayers, described the project as a timely intervention amid declining moral values in society.
In a message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, emphasizing that faith and moral education are crucial to building responsible citizens and a better nation. The first set of Bibles was unveiled during the event and will be distributed in the coming weeks.
This philantropic gesture has come under criticisms from lots of Nigerians, however, many Christians are in support of it.
