There was drama aboard an Abuja-bound flight when a male passenger was caught allegedly stealing ₦290,000 from the luggage of another traveler, a white man.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect reportedly opened an overhead locker and removed the cash from the foreign passenger’s bag while others were boarding. Trouble started when the victim noticed that his luggage was missing from its spot and raised an alarm.

A female passenger, who claimed to have seen the suspect tampering with the bag, immediately pointed him out. The cabin crew and other passengers intervened, leading to a quick search of the man. The missing money was allegedly found in his possession.
He was escorted off the plane by airport security officials while other passengers watched. The incident caused a brief delay in takeoff as security operatives took the suspect away for further questioning.
Video footage of the arrest has since circulated online, showing the suspect being led out of the aircraft amid murmurs from shocked passengers.
