An Igbo man residing in Asaba, Delta State has sparked debates after claiming 90 percent of men born and raised in Onitsha, Anambra State, do not respect their wives or women in general.
In a self-made 2 minute video, the man argued that men born and raised in Onitsha often beat their wives, talk carelessly without respect to women, saying the men there are badly raised.
The man said this is very common among 90% of the men there. He even swore with his life. He said they even bully women, and in fact, as a woman, if you don’t dress the way they like, they would want to raise your skirt or touch you “inappropriately.”

“Any man born in Onitsha, raised in Onitsha, no dey respect woman, and I swear with my life for this,” he said.
He gave an example using the market, saying if you visit the market, and see how they talk to women, one would know they are not properly raised.
Even though they are doing well for themselves, they of course, also try to take care of their wives, however, they do beat them. And they don’t take their wives’ opinions, what they want, is what their wives must do.
The man called for a change, urging Onitsha men to do better with women and their wives.
A lot of Nigerians, especially the Igbos have confirmed his views, saying it’s true, some others noticeably from the Anambra have debunked the claims.
